Now, let's get on with this issue of the Super Human Development newsletter...

Have you ever wondered how to create ultimate fulfilment in your life? Does it seem that every time you try and seek out a way to be truly happy that you just tend to complicate things? This is due to a number of reasons but the first thing that needs to be addressed is balance. So what is balance and how will it make me happy?

When I speak of balance, I am referring to each of the seven areas of life. Sometimes you may have a great life in certain areas but feel that there is something missing, this is almost certainly due to the fact that one of those areas is not quite what you want it to be. Maybe you have a great career but your relationships suffer. Maybe your relationship is great but you have poor health and vitality levels.

The purpose of this email is balancing out each area so that they are all fulfilled to the highest standard. But first we need to realise one thing. In order to have a great quality of life we need to do one thing, you have got to raise your standards. That may sound very obvious and simple but if we don’t raise our standards to what we believe we are capable of then nothing in life will ever change.

If you really want to change your life and live the way you have always dreamed there is really one thing that needs to be addressed before you can do it. If you don’t do this then you will continue to get frustrated and you will never produce the results you want for your life.

If you want to live a life of your own design you have got to raise your standards. The problem is that our environments and past conditioning has determined our standards. You may believe that you have given your all in certain areas but there is always a higher standard for everyone. You might think that you always do a good job at things or you may even be in the realm of excellence but as Tony Robbins puts it, you need to develop a standard that is outstanding, where you stand out and hold yourself to a higher standard than anyone else could possibly expect from you. That’s the other thing; if you only did what others expected of you then you would only get the results expected. All of life’s rewards come when you exceed the standards that others have set for you and develop your own highest standard.

There are a lot of people out there that believe if they set a major goal for their life and achieve it then they have achieved their life’s purpose, they believe that this will finally make them happy. This belief often gets people disillusioned and is one of the major causes for people like actors and musicians becoming addicted to drugs or alcohol.

You need to decide there is always a higher standard for you no matter what; you need to focus on continual growth and improvement, not a single, static goal. Also remember that you need to hold yourself to the highest standard in all areas, not just in career or financial etc, you need to raise your standards in your relationship, your health and fitness, emotional standards and everything else.

So what are these seven areas of life we keep talking about?

The seven areas are:

* Physical/health.

* Emotional.

* Spiritual.

* Career.

* Financial.

* Relationships.

* Fun and leisure.

So how can we apply this to our life?

Here are a few simple steps:

Step 1: Write down each of the seven areas. Next to each, score where you are now for each one. Do this on a scale of one to ten, one being totally frustrated and disappointed, ten being absolute fulfilment in this area.

Step 2: Write down, or at least consider, what it would take to get each to a ten. What would you need to do? What would you need to stop doing? What resources would you need?

Step 3: Now write down what each area would be like if it were totally fulfilled. What would be happening? What would you experience? How would you feel? What would you have? Who would you be in your life? Where would you live? Etc.

Step 4: Now every time you set a goal, consider all the possible consequences and how you might be able to alter the strategy in order to fulfil all areas. Condition it so that it becomes natural. Soon you will be able to set goals and devise an action plan for their achievement that keeps your entire life in absolute synergy.
