In this issue I would like to open your eyes to the one force that shapes everything in your life, decisions.

I haven't been as active as I would like to be with the newsletter or with the site lately. I have been promoting and organising the launch of the Born To Win seminar. It will be an exciting event. We have many high profile people attending including company CEOs, a psychology professor and many others.

Decisions are the force that literally determines your destiny. Many of us don't realise it, but one small decision can lead to enormous changes in the direction of your life. I have traced back many of my own decisions and where they have led, it becomes clear that where I am now is the result of some of my decisions.

I mean, there are many people out there who like to blame some outside circumstance for their short-comings but that takes away your power. Take a look at where you are now, are your problems the result of someone else's actions? Perhaps the economy, the government, the weather, your family etc, are responsible for anything bad that is happening in your life right now.

BULLSHIT! Ok, sorry to use such a strong word but it is. You are where you are now because of decisions you have made at some point in your life. This is even true for circumstances that seem to be out of your control, it was a string of decisions that led to what is happening now. You may not have known any better at the time but it was still a decision.

Ok, so you were abused as a child and your up-bringing was terrible. Well guess what? So was mine. It's not what happened to you in the past that determines your future, it's how you dealt with what happened that determines your future, basically the resulting decisions you made.

Think of it this way: you get on a bus and decide to say hello to the person sitting next to you. You get talking and they recommend a book. You get off the bus and forget all about the book. Months later you notice that book on a friend's coffee table.

You make a decision to ask them if you can borrow it. You read the book and it changes your whole perspective on your direction in life. You decide to pursue a new career path and end up wildly successful and eventually get into politics, which then leads to you becoming the leader of your country.

Now what if you spoke to a different person on that bus? You make a different decision to speak to the person behind you. You get talking and swap numbers. You both decide to meet up and eventually you become good friends. You are introduced to several of this person's friends and end up hitting it off with a few of them.

This leads to a decision to travel with them and party along the way. You meet someone in a road-side diner and they offer to sell you and your friends some drugs, you take them up on the offer because it's just a one off and you're all having fun.

Before long you spiral into addiction and lose your house, your car, your job and become homeless etc. Of course that was just an example but do you see how one decision can lead to another and another and so on?

Remember that one decision can change the course of your life forever so you had better make it a good one, even the small ones.

In the next issue we will cover the most important skill you must have. This is the factor that influences your decisions, it's what determines every action you take in your life and it is the one thing that will determine the standard at which you live.

Just a quick note: After the Born To Win seminar we will have it available on DVD along with the workbook. Also keep an eye out for some massive changes to our site after the event.

Regards,

Chris Lyons.
