Explanation of Programs
Due to the nature of the Personal Evolution method and the programs we prescribe I felt it necessary to include an explanation of programs that we use. This is a broad, sweeping and general explanation for the programs we include on this site. It is a must read before taking on any of the programs.
Abbreviated Programs
The strength and conditioning programs included on this site are not complete in terms of periodisation. To include periodisation in generalised online fitness programs would be a very tedious and time consuming task. Instead we provide programs that are abbreviated and are a snapshot of what one can do at a various point within a training cycle. It takes some knowledge of periodisation and progressive intensity to put together a program that includes macro, meso and micro-cycles.
Just Examples
The programs on this site can indeed be used as complete programs for a certain period within a cycle. However the programs here are simply examples of what can be done. There is no way of telling what the individual needs are of the readers of this site. The programs may need to be adjusted and tweaked to fit to individual needs.
Reference Point
The programs section is designed as a reference point for athletes, coaches, personal trainers and regular individuals. Although a specific program may not precisely fit what you’re looking for, it will provide a guideline and structure for the creation of effective strength and conditioning programs for various purposes.
This explanation is here to provide insight into what it is this site is trying to achieve. I am a qualified and experienced strength and conditioning coach, however I am not aiming to individually coach everyone from a section on the site. I hope the program section provides some structure into your training regime and that you can use it as a template for effective program design.
