The fitness training methods of Bruce Lee must have had some effectiveness by taking into account the fitness level of Lee. He was undoubtedly one of the all-round fittest individuals ever. It is my belief that the perfection of Bruce’s physique and abilities was more a result of his consistency and daily habits than of sound fitness training. However, the purpose of this article is not to show Bruce Lee’s methods of conditioning as being the best practice available. We are simply looking at what Lee did to build the physique and physical attributes that are so famous.

Bruce Lee trained in martial arts every day for at least two hours. He believed that in order to be a great fighter you need to be well conditioned physically. So Bruce believed in a solid regime of fitness training in all aspects.

Linda Lee, Bruce Lee’s wife, recalled that Bruce would ride the stationary bike for 45 minutes and by the end there was a pool of sweat beneath him. He would generally ride on a high resistance over a distance of about 10 miles.
The fitness training methods of Bruce Lee may not be state of the art by today’s standards. It was his commitment and continuous efforts at self-improvement that created the abilities of the cult hero. His physique was admired by some of the world’s top bodybuilders, his doctors believed he was the fittest man they had seen and he publicly performed many feats of amazing physical ability.
