Personal Evolution Method


The Personal Evolution methods are wide and varied yet very simple in principle.

I will start by explaining who we work with and how our methods apply to them.

Our disciples

Personal Evolution has worked with many varied groups of people. Our principles and training methods can be moulded to best fit the task at hand. Every time we work with a group of people, an athlete or anyone else, we refer to this as a project. There is no system, everything we do is custom fit to suit the project. However, there are certain fundamental principles we use that we have found to work in the field. These principles are unique to the Personal Evolution method.

Athletes

We work with individual athletes and sports teams. Most athletes have coaches, not only that, they have coaches for various aspects. There are coaches for strength and conditioning, coaches for tactics and general coaches. In addition to this, many athletes also work with sports psychologists.

So where do we come in? The Personal Evolution methods are not sports specific. Having said that, we do apply specific strategies for specific projects. The methods used for a triathlete are not the same as we would use for a top level fighter.

We take on athletes generally pre-season, when they are building their base level of fitness. The methods we use are hardcore conditioning, custom made fitness tests and various mental/psychological techniques. Basically we prepare the athlete or team by pushing them to their physical and emotional threshold using tools that are required in their specific sport.

We are expert at taking athletes experiencing plateaus and creating and monitoring a plan to move beyond the down-time they are experiencing. We do this through various challenging workouts, mental conditioning techniques, functional primal motion and pushing them beyond the threshold that is creating the plateau.

Most often what is accomplished is a massive increase in emotional threshold, meaning they can psychologically tolerate greater challenges and a superior base level of fitness that works as a platform where specific conditioning can start at a level beyond what is normally possible.

Emergency Services Personnel and Military

The built-in psychological/emotional conditioning that accompanies our physical training methods is used as a tolerance tool. People who deal with emergencies for a living need to not only have the physical conditioning to endure the unpredictable tasks at hand and the technical skills to get the job done efficiently, they also need to be able to apply these skills when they have reached physical and emotional exhaustion.

We create custom scenario-specific training that forces emergency service personnel to be conditioned to harsh, pressured, unpredictable situations and respond efficiently when they are emotionally, physically and psychologically exhausted or overloaded. This is accompanied by superior functional conditioning that cannot be achieved in a gym environment.

Regular Individuals

The Personal Evolution method applies to people of all kinds, no matter what their goals are. People are generally the same at their very core. We all have challenges to overcome and we all require a physiology that functions efficiently.

We do not deal with simply weight loss or other shallow and vane things. Having said that, someone undergoing any of our programmes or applying any of the Personal Evolution methods cannot help but to achieve a lean body and build muscle. This is a given, it’s just that we do not take on a project for this sole purpose.

To put it simply, Personal Evolution methods are fundamental, primal conditioning tools. This means that we focus on enhancing an individual’s basic primal physical and psychological skill-set to make them better equipped for circumstances outside of the training environment. This is something that is impossible with mainstream ideas and gym environments, the ones that are being promoted with a free backpack and water bottle.

Superior conditioning cannot be bought, it is earned. This is how we operate because it is effective, we know this to be true beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Individuals are generally trained in groups in one of our boot camp style programmes. We follow a challenge and reward format for all that we do.

Primal Motion

Perhaps the core fundamental of the Personal Evolution method, in terms of physical conditioning, is primal motion. Primal motion is simply the movement patterns that come most natural to human beings. Every animal has primal motion patterns that function most efficiently.

All of our training adheres to the movement patterns of primal motion. Primal motion patterns include things like running, swimming, squatting, pushing, pulling and jumping.

Challenge

The Personal Evolution method functions on challenge. Without challenge there can be no progress. If someone is not challenged, both mentally and physically, they will simply plateau because there is no instinctive desire to improve.

Challenges are fit to the individual depending on their own journey. Challenges come in various shapes and sizes such as custom fitness challenges, physical and psychological challenges that extend over a period of days, weeks or months, external challenges such as specific events and anything else that will force a person to grow in order to rise above the challenge.

Basics in Action

This is intended as a brief insight into the Personal Evolution method. We apply the basics, but we do it well. We are the best in the business at what we do. I can confidently say this unchallenged because I have been around and discovered what is provided in the world today.

The Personal Evolution method is focussed on the basic, primal, fundamental movement and thinking patterns of human beings. Everything we do is both scientific in nature and field tested in the context and specific circumstances in which we apply them.

Of course, the Personal Evolution method is not something that can entirely be understood by reading a few paragraphs. Like our philosophy, our method is something best explained by experience, application and action.
